- select all cells by pressing CTRL+A
- right click on any of the selected cells and choose "Format Cells"
- Click the "alignment" tab and ensure that the text control is set to "wrap text" - it needs to be a tick so you may need to click it a few times if it is a solid block
- at this point you can also set the text alignment to be general for horizontal and top for verticle
- click ok
- Excel will be "helpful" again and now mess up the widths and heights of all cells...
- Select all cells again by pressing CTRL+A
- this time right click on one of the row numbers (be careful to ensure that all cells are still selected, sometimes Excel is helpful and decides to just then select the row you clicked on)
- click on "row height" and set it to be 15 - if done correctly all the rows should now be the same height
- select all cells again by pressing CTRL+A
- now click on one of the column at the top (same deal as before, ensure that all cells are still selected)
- click on "column width" and set it to be something like 25 - if done correctly all rows should now be the same width
